Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19, 2026
Frame TV Artist ("we," "us," or "our") operates frametvartist.com (the "Service"), which lets you generate and edit 4K artwork for Frame TVs and similar displays using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up or sign in, we use Clerk for authentication. Clerk may collect your email address, name, profile image, and authentication identifiers. We receive a user ID and basic profile data needed to run your account and enforce usage limits.
Content you provide
When you generate or edit images, we process the text prompts you submit and any images you upload for editing. Generated artwork may be stored temporarily on our servers to fulfill your request and deliver downloads. Gallery items you save are stored in your browser's local storage on your device unless we add cloud gallery features in the future (we will update this policy if we do).
Payment information
If you purchase image packs, Stripe processes payments. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe provides us with transaction metadata (such as payment status, amount, and a customer reference) so we can credit your account. Subscriptions, if offered through Clerk Billing, are handled under Clerk's and their payment partners' terms.
Usage and technical data
We store usage counts (for example, monthly generation limits and pack credits) in Upstash Redis tied to your user ID. We may collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and analytics tools (such as Vercel Analytics) may collect similar technical information to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process AI image generation and editing requests
- Authenticate users and prevent abuse
- Enforce free-tier limits, subscriptions, and pack credits
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations
- Analyze aggregated usage to improve performance and features
3. AI processing and third-party providers
To generate and edit images, we send your prompts and uploaded images to AI service providers (for example, Google's generative AI APIs). Those providers process data according to their own policies and our agreements with them. Do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential business data, or content you do not have rights to use in prompts or uploads.
We also rely on service providers that may process data on our behalf, including:
- Clerk (authentication)
- Stripe (payments)
- Vercel (hosting and analytics)
- Upstash (usage and credit storage)
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable, we process personal data based on: performance of our contract with you; legitimate interests (security, analytics, improvement); compliance with law; and your consent where required (for example, optional marketing if we offer it in the future).
5. How long we keep information
We retain account-related data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Usage records and payment-related logs are kept as long as needed for billing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Prompts and images sent for processing are not kept longer than necessary to complete your request unless required for debugging or legal reasons.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers listed above, under contractual safeguards
- If required by law, court order, or government request
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of Frame TV Artist, our users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required)
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update account details through your Clerk profile where available. To request deletion or exercise other rights, contact us at privacy@frametvartist.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including knowing what we collect and requesting deletion, subject to exceptions. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features (such as staying signed in).
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We and our processors may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
